e but was later sacked from his post after evidences provided by him related to Naqeebullah’s criminal record and alleged links with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were deemed ‘baseless’ by the probing unit.

unday headed by IGP Abbasi at DIG East’s office, a decision to arrest the officials
involved in Naqeebullah’s alleged encounter was made, sources said. The committee meeting has also opted to transfer all Station House Officers (SHO) of East District, deputed by former SSP Rao.
Naqeebullah Mehsud, a 27-year-old South Waziristan native, was gunned down in an alleged encounter on January 13 in Shah Latif town.
