ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday warned of severe consequences if India tried to conduct a ‘real’ surgical strike.
In a heated Senate session, the minister said that the neighbouring country does not want to continue the negotiation process.
“India doesn’t want tension to subside,” he said.
Speaking
regarding Indian violation of the border, the defence minister pointed to Indian Chief of Army Staff’s claim that India could conduct another surgical strike.
“India’s first surgical strike was bogus,” the defence minister said, adding that the surgical strikes’ scam was created to target the Indian nation.
In his speech, Khawaja Asif said that there could be some possible explanation behind India’s fake claim of across-the-b
order strikes. India wishes to link the freedom struggle in India Occupied Kashmir (IOK) to terrorism and infiltration.
India desires to join the on-going IOK uprising to Pakistan and made such references on several internat
ional forums, although the plan remained unsuccessful thus far.
The minister assured that Pakistan will continue to provide
diplomatic and moral support to the people of Kashmir. He said that Pakistan has garnered successes in war against terrorism.
The Senate unanimously passed a resolution against the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for linking terrorism to Pakistan.
